It would be during this time that The Jackson 5 was both discovered by Gladys Knight and Bobby Taylor who was with the Vancouver’s at the time. Gladys Knight & the Pips had signed with Motown in 1966 and were the first to contact Motown about the young group. But it was Bobby Taylor who took the initiative when he asked Suzanne De Passé, to take a look at them and tell Berry Gordy about their exciting potential. The rest of course is history.
